Green Maps in the Motor City

Published by corrie at 10:26 pm under Green Roofs, Urban Planning and Policy

Green Map has created a standard for the creation of local map projects that highlight environmentally relevant landmarks (parks, buildings, organic groceries, etc.). The maps can provide information on physical examples of sustainability at the local level. Getting the word out on the resource is another matter. I was excited to see that Detroit is on the map now too. Unfortunately, Ann Arbor’s Green Map is no longer available. Thank goodness for web archives, so we can see what was green in Ann Arbor in 2003.
